Expedition
The four longest rivers in Australia, from start to finish on a Stand up Paddle board!

I am currently preparing to begin my River Expedition to stand up paddle the four longest rivers in Australia. I will be attempting to do this over the next year and a half. I am lucky enough to have the Murrumbidgee River on my door step so it was only a matter of time before I wanted to paddle the whole distance, and this is when I decided to just go for it and attempt to paddle all four of the longest rivers. The list of rivers are:
Murray River - 2,375 kilometers (1,476 mi)
Murrumbidgee River - 1,485 kilometers (923 mi)
Darling River - 1,472 kilometers (915 mi)
Lachlan River - 1,339 kilometers (832 mi)

I will be paddling the rivers self sufficient (all my gear will be with me from the start of the river all the way to the end, with only food drops along the way). The distance of all four rivers is almost equivalent in distance from Perth to Brisbane and back. The other three rivers in the top seven longest rivers in Australia are Cooper Creek, Flinders River and Diamantina River but unfortunately they have crocodiles so I have decide against paddling these for obvious reasons. Along my journey I will be raising awareness and funds for Camp Quality and the Australian Wildlife Conservancy. If you would like to get involved in the River Expedition please feel free to contact me.
